New to me SVT 6spokes

the bend im a little concerned about








Not bad for 100 bucks..

anyone have ideas about the bend. he said that it balanced it out..

Fix it or put a tire on it and see what happens. One of mine or two of them I forget which have a bend like that in them and they don't have any vibrations or any other thing that makes me feel anything. I'm sure you'll be fine, and welcome to the world of the 6 spoke owner ship, I know you been wanting to join for a long long long while lol

Awesome price for those wheels. I'd fix it, there are places to fix it. I also have those wheels too.

looks like he tried to hammer that bend out and damaged the wheel even more. i would just mount a tire and see if it leaks like the others said but getting the beand fixed may be under $100 and worth the money

found out the bend goes through the whole barrel..pretty pissed off

Look what you paided, I'd be taking that wheel to a place that repairs them.

Oh I know, I was told it was just in the lip. Thts what upsets me

he sent me some. it was not noticeable until i put it on a high speed balancer

Get that wheel straightened, or replace it. Even if you only got three good wheels for $100, that's a great deal. Just because it balances, doesn't make it run true. You can high speed balance a square or an oval just as easily as a circle.

When I bought a set of used SVT wheels, they looked fine until I mounted them on a hub and measured the runout at the bead. I ended up paying $150 to get all four trued up. (many shops charge $150 per wheel!)

I just bent one of them again on a big pothole yesterday, so I'll be going back to the wheel repair guy Tuesday (less busy time and day = cheaper labor)
