As he says.

Every trans on the planet made of same materials excepting the actual friction discs themselves. The fluid is specified for the discs with possibly some chemical in there to reduce foaming, or multi-vis to stabilize viscosity, other than that all other lube specs would be to cover the same steel and aluminum parts. Meaning pretty much any fluid would work in any trans unless the foaming thing is a problem. If fluid not right for discs then trans will show evidence of it in the shifting as mentioned above, the downshift bump. It could show in an upshift as well. If nothing wrong showing in the actual shifts (slip/flareup/too grabby or harsh) then nothing is wrong...........

ATX is different from a motor that does not relatively care about oil viscosity. When you start adding 'conditioners' in there you may be changing the basic 10 weight or so of the oil which is necessary for the function of proper shifting. In short you just treated the millions of dollars of engineering that went into the valve body like garbage. Any conditioners you need are in the normal fluid, adding more is simply not necessary and a money pit. If you have a trans problem you are only delaying the inevitable by trying to fix it with a plastic bottle and generally by only minutes or hours. I sold conditioners all day long and the customer viewed outcome when they came back was generally 'I wasted the money' about 99.5% of the time. Many times it made trans WORSE...........
