The Focus has a large following among general drivers who want a solid good mpg car but in the performance world they have barely made a blip in the US til the ST arrived. Yes,the SVT was a minor splash but was never followed up with anything to write home about.

Sorry about being misleading. I did not realize that all of the BMW's that are listed on COBB's site are TurboCharged. That is how much I know about BMW's. That is too bad though since with all the experience that COBB has tuning the small Rally style cars. It would be nice if they could produce something for the NA Focus's.

2.0 L GTDI EcoBoost i4 in the catalog.
Sweet. The 2.0 EcoBoost costs over $700 more than a 412+ hp Mustang Ti-VCT 5.0 engine. The 2.0 does include the alternator though and of course the turbo and intercooler. The dollar to horsepower ratio doesn't look too good on the 2.0: 252 hp/$8000 vs. 412 hp/$7279.

The Alternator kit adds back $310 on the Mustang 5.0 L crate engine, since that's included on the EcoBoost.

The wiring and air systems for the manual 5.0 L mustang engine cost 1799 as well.

They don't list what the cost is for a wiring harness/ pcm for the ST motor though.

It would fit an MK1, well the 4.6 did, not sure about the 5.0 L block. The wiring harness alone costs nearly $1800 + $310 for the alternator, not sure what the wiring would cost for the EcoBoost though.

Off topic but I was thinking the SHO Ecoboost V6 with a RWD conversion in a sedan. Pure SEX!

Has any one drove the 2.0 Ecoboost Fusion? That car looks as good or better than a Taurus. Maybe you could get a COBB tuner for it and set for ST style performance?

Why RWD conversion on an AWD setup? Just get the drive train out of an F150 Ecoboost.
