In removing the radiator the condenser has to be removed as well, which means removing the refrigerant it prior to removing it to replace the radiator, then it needs to be re-evacuated (pull a vacuum on it once the system is closed, then checked for leaks before being charged again.

It's amazing how some Foci are having issues and some have been fine since day one. At least the ones having issues is the far lesser majority.
Sorry about your car but could have been a rock if they had to actually replace it, which isn't their fault or a build quality issue. If it was just leaking like from a coolant hose they wouldn't replace the whole radiator. And At least its fixed so you can enjoy driving it again.

I know it was hypothetical, but I don't buy it was a rock that cracked it for two reasons. First they fixed it under warranty with no questions asked and second the crack was on a spot that was well protected by the bumper and dust shield. I appreciate the comment though! |

Just an update, incase you haven't seen my new thread.
Got the car back and two days later there was oil leaking and the smell was back. Car is at the dealer again... Geez |
