I am about to start some major service on the RallyCross Focus and need to reach out to the community for some advice.
List of goodies: Torsen diff Silicone coolant hoses Underdrive Pulley Exedy clutch Lighter Flywheel All new motor mounts and polyurethane bushings Since so much work needs to be done and the transmission case has to be split, I figured it is simpler to just pull the entire motor out and assemble everything without clearance issues. Does anyone know of any special tools I would need (ie. fuel line dis-connectors or other nonsense) or have any advice for me before I begin blindly disassembling things? I am also very disappointed with FSWerks for not sending me a clutch alignment kit along with my EXEDY "Clutch Kit" and lighter flywheel. Does anyone have an alignment tool they can lend me for this job? Centerforce Part # : 52008 Nose Diameter: 19/32 Inch 23 Spline By 1 Inch I am also not familiar with FWD transmissions so the Torsen swap may get lengthy. The unit does not come with any bolts of bearings - can I re-use my ring-gear bolts or should I get new ones from Ford (along with the bearings)? Any and all help is greatly appreciated, Thanks -Yuri |
