In shady conditions I turn on just the parking lights and then turn on the foglights. Then my car has the "projector look" people are spending money on trying to replicate.

According to this (in Illinois), it sounds like it's illegal to drive with only your fog lights on. Essentially, you can use your headlights AND fog lights as long as they don't blind the other cars.

It's kind of ambiguous because it doesn't explicitly say it's prohibited to drive with only fog lights.

Camero's use the foglights as DLR's They are wired that way from the factory.

I stand corrected! I'll use this if I ever get pulled over for doing so. Plus, now I know what the rule book says if the cop tries to lie to me.

EDIT: I've totally driven with only my fog lights on during the daytime, I also like the way it looks.

DOUBLE EDIT: It looks like it's illegal to drive in PA with only fogs on. But the lights on the Camaro RS aren't actually fog lamps - they're just DRLs... where fog lamps would go? Or something? It's super confusing, but it sounds like you can't turn them on/off separately.

And the non-RS Camaros use the dimmed headlamps as DRLs.

With so many cars having some variety of DLR's these days it might be tough for cops to figure out what is what by just looking at a car driving down the street. Like a Volvo will have DRL's but the tailights also come on. You are right about the Camaro, but those DRL's look like a place to put foglights!

550 shipped. You can find these on ebay and haggle price. Looks to be very well made with quality materials. But only time will tell.

They look ugly IMO..like a cheap knock-off of something trying to pretend it belongs on a BMW. Seems like a huge waste of money

Glad to hear they are well made. Still not a fan of the look, but at least they're not cheaply made. Curious to see how the light output is when you get the HID set up.
