Updated TX Caravan Thread May 2013 and On

Alrighty TX Peeps. Time to clear some air and get the planners out for a good cruise from the Big Tex.

DAY THIS IS ALL HAPPENING: THURSDAY JULY 18 2013

Here is the Caravan Info ... so far:

So, THE WHOLE STATE ... will be meeting in DALLAS, TX:
Plano Rendezvous: Arriving 1:30-2:00PM
Fry's Electronics

It is a great spot for all of us to meet ... not too terribly far for the main cities to meet at and as for the longer traveling cities, please feel free to chime in to make a cruise plan.

Tom and I figured it would take:
-- 4-5 hours for San Antonio and Houston to make it to the Dallas Rendezvous point.
-- About 3-4 hours for the Austin Crowd.
-- I know for the El Paso peeps, it is at least a 12 hour drive to Austin or Houston. So, I figure 16-17 hours from El Paso to Dallas.
-- Further South TX, about 7-8 hours to Dallas
-- West TX group, about a 5-6 hour drive from Lubbock
-- East TX about a 2-3 hour drive from Tyler TX

What we suggest:
- SAN ANTONIO - Leave around 9-930AM, make it to Dallas by the 130-2pm meet time.
- HOUSTON - Also Leave around 9-930AM, and make same time.
- AUSTIN - Leave around 10-1030AM
- Lubbock and Surround - Leave around 7-730AM
- Tyler East TX - Leave around 11-1130AM
- El Paso - Special Case - It's just over half a day drive. If any of you would like, please PM me, I am willing to have you crash at my place and roll with the Houston crowd the next morning.
- Deep South TX - Leave around 5-530AM, same for you guys, if you need a pad to crash the night before. Feel free to send me a PM

Let's get some cruise time figured.

Here are the Meet Location Info ... I will update as each person posts for their region:

- HOUSTON - I suggest we meet in the parking lot of the Woodlands Mall off of i45 NORTH. Parking lot before huge bridge around 830-9. Then grab breakfast and head on out.
