I loooove love love the ST Recaros.

Anyone who doesn't like them is crazy.

Also, they are Recaro sport buckets. I think the rule of thumb is that anyone larger than a 34 inch waist will be pushing the limit of personal comfort.

This is america after all. I for one applaud Ford for using anti-fatty seats! I hate the super wide bench "buckets" in my 2011 Focus.

ST seats = glued to the seat when turning. Love them. Wish my SVT seats were that good.

This thread is timely for me...

I just sat in an ST this week with the Black/Yellow Recaros. I have a 38 waist. I was anticipating that the seats would serve as a further motivator in my quest to lose weight. However, they felt pretty good. I was really surprised... I thought they would cut off the circulation to my love handles, but they didnt.

So I went to www.ford.com and built one and noticed that if I pick the Black/Yellow seats it makes me change from 202A to 201A.. but couldnt figure out what 201 vs 202 was. I guess I'll keep researching because right now I am thinking ST is my next car.

Agreed on the Focus seats in general - good seats but a bit narrow for the average American male - maybe would have been great when I was 30 with a 29 inch waist. They're not bad but my cheeks do ride just a bit onto the bolsters.

201A is the middle package with the partial cloth/leather recaro sport seats and the MFT system but without the titanium features and the all leather recaro heated seats and the HIDs.

200A=ST with the 12 SE sport seats in the same cloth as the '12, 201A= ST2 with MFT, partial leather recaro manual seats etc, 202A=ST3 with hids, leather, etc.

Im 5'8 160lbs. My shoulders barely fit in the seats, they are extremely uncomfortable. I have wide shoulders though.

As someone who often takes 6+ hour road trips, there is NO WAY I could ever have a car with those type of seats.

If you ever get a chance to sit in the ST-1 trim level seats, you might find the shape of them quite similar to your Titanium seats, just not leather though.

How much seat time have you had in the ST Recaros?

They are "uncomfortable" for the first 5-10 minutes but once you're driving around in them, its almost like they're not there. Super supportive. I want one for an office chair.

rear ST-1 seats
The base ST1 seats here in N.A. are the same as the '12 SE sport frame which was used on the SE sport, SEL and Ti.

I love my seats for the way they hold me more securly in the corners rather than being flat and shapeless like the 2009 us Focus I had as a loaner car wit the barcolounger seats.
