Not true. My comment was no more out of line than yours, which (lest we forget) was about you not liking seats in a car you had no intention of buying. And, unlike you, I never resorted to calling you names.

I even gave the package number for the non-Recaro seats, so I'm in the clear here.

True. The sales guys I was talking to when I was sitting in the ST, one agreed me and the other liked them. Overall all the seats in the Focus are narrower than my previous cars, VWs. Came from a Jetta Sportwagen and a GTI before that. But as I mentioned I have the leather seats in my Ti and they are pretty comfortable.

I haven't sat in them but my dealer has a white one with the black and yellow seats. Not the best color combo in my opinion.

The seats are definitely more snug than is usual. I don't find them uncomfortable, though -- just unusual. And you do get used to it. First test drive, I was like "you gotta be kidding". Second was "yeah, they are kinda snug". Third, I didn't even notice.

The seats do expect you to be sitting close the proper driving position. If you like to lounge all around in your seat, or recline way back, they're probably not for you.

I find they add a lot to the "I'm not going to slide while going around this corner" comfort factor. I'd generally find myself bracing against the door or console in other cars. Different sort of "comfort" than the cushy Barco-lounger sort.
