Need help with fender rolling ASAP!
So I'm trying to roll my own fender with an eastwood roller. My fenders are cracking a lot! Luckily I've only done one. I've been using a heat gun but I'm wondering if the paint wasnt warmed enough? Or maybe I'm trying to push too much too soon?

Hmm I'm interested in the solution. on one of my older vehicles, a '98, I rolled the rear fenders and they cracked too but I blamed that on old age paint. Your Focus isn't that old in comparison. Maybe not hot enough?

Actually I'm starting to think too much heat. I found after I rolled a section, when I went to re-roll it, I heated it again and then the paint split a little worse

I'll take pics if I chip the next one. I already wiped away the excess paint that already cracked. At least it's in an area I can easily conceal with primer and colour match paint

It's all done. In hindsight, what I should have done is driven with the wheels on and then see where I rub. Instead I got too excited and impatient and went to town making way too much clearance. Either way, I touched up the chipped areas with touch up paint until my next set of days off to ward off any rusting. Then I'll do a proper job with sanding, primer and colour match. The rears turned out fine though.
