Can this be done?

I thought of something that one day I would like to do if it is possible, which i'm sure it is, and if it's legal. It is making the fog lights into turn indicators (keeping the side front ones aswell) so a grill without indicators can be used with stock headlights. Wouldn't have fog lights anymore but I could live with that to have the smooth grill. I know this could be achieved with mach/st headlights (and keeping fogs normal) but those are quite pricey. If this has been done, could someone post a link please?

A lot of GM products had something like that, so I don't think it would be illegal. Although, the placement is different. But then again, HIDs are technically illegal if not oem, but many people have them.

It should be fine as long as the color of the bulb is correct..unless there is some sort of law in your state about where turn signals must be or if they must be a certain height off the ground. I doubt it's something you could get ticketed for, more like something that might be an issue at an inspection (if your state even has them.)

It'd should say somewhere here:

Otherwise its just a matter of hooking up the wires that are normally going to your turn signals to your fogs..
