I know rules are rules for a reason usually and that question might sounds stupid, but thank you for answering it anyways

You will need an NHRA compliant helmet as specified above. They will not let it slide for 13.7 seconds. We suggest you borrow one from a friend if you can? We typically have racers from the same group/club share a few helmets among them.

Yes, you will have to pay for two registration fees if you show/autocross/drag race both cars.

YES! The event is for all Fords (including Lincoln/Mercury) of all years... Our only requirement is that has to be Ford-bodied or Ford-powered. So you may see a Chevy or Mopar, but rest assured it's got a Ford engine!

So does this technically include Mazda since Ford and Mazda shared motors & etc.? I have a few friends that might be interested in going that own Mazda's

I don't see a reason why they would turn your friends away.

For AutoX, plan to have one on hand, we've had groups/club share helmets between themselves as needed.

As for AutoX, yes they are technically required, it depends on the timing team running the course if they make you wear them or not. I'd be prepared just in case.

Good questions.

Since I am anticipating on playing on the AutoX course ... and being the FF photographer (that's a separate worry though). I have a couple of questions on the AutoX side.

Okay:
1st) Will there be a tech available for checking the cars? (Safety question)
2) Will this be ran just as like the SCCA has it set for Solo?
3) If someone is not participating in the Car Show (like me), what is the cost difference? And are there any discounts for SCCA Members?
4) How will the course provide workers for corners, timing and etc?
5) Will rookies/those new to AutoX have any coaching, rookie walk-throughs or assistance?
6) Will there be a course walk-through prior to racing?
7) Will there be a practice run prior to racing?
8) Since we are doing it 2 days, are the days separated for a reason, or just 2 different competitions? (SCCA Nationals style)
9) Will classes be identified and separated? Example: Stock cars, N/A modified, V8s(stangs), F/I cars, exotics, etc.
10) If we decide to run our cars against other classed rides and compare numbers, will there be a PAX number set up to help with a fair position between the type of cars running?

Being an SCCA member and AutoX fanatic, I just want to make sure we are being fair and safe to all who want to participate in the AutoX event.

As for helmets ... well, standard SCCA rules require you to have a valid SA2010 helmet or newer for racing.

Ray, most of those questions will be handled directly with the track. Last time I checked in with them there were still a couple options on who was going to be running the auto-x. We will get those details hashed out as they come available.

YES

That depends on who is running the course, last year it was very similar.
3) If someone is not participating in the Car Show (like me), what is the cost difference? And are there any discounts for SCCA Members?
If you are only going to AutoX, then you have to pay the full AutoX registration fee (same price as car show), no discounts for SCCA members, as SCCA most likely will not be running this portion of the program.
4) How will the course provide workers for corners, timing and etc?
We arrange all of that in coordination with the AutoX Sponsor & track.
5) Will rookies/those new to AutoX have any coaching, rookie walk-throughs or assistance?
Absolutely! We will be offering an AutoX Clinic either Friday night or Saturday morning.
6) Will there be a course walk-through prior to racing?
Yes
7) Will there be a practice run prior to racing?
Yes
8) Since we are doing it 2 days, are the days separated for a reason, or just 2 different competitions? (SCCA Nationals style)
It's one competition for two days, not two separate competitions.
9) Will classes be identified and separated? Example: Stock cars, N/A modified, V8s(stangs), F/I cars, exotics, etc.
Not typically, because these are all Fords, no F/I cars or exotics. Winners are divided out between Novice and Expert, both Winner and Runner Up get awards. Last year, a Novice stock V6 Mustang held it's own against the Novice modified GT500. However, if there is a consensus on creating more classes, the we can discuss that with the track and get back to you.
10) If we decide to run our cars against other classed rides and compare numbers, will there be a PAX number set up to help with a fair position between the type of cars running?
See above- Only two classes.

Being an SCCA member and AutoX fanatic, I just want to make sure we are being fair and safe to all who want to participate in the AutoX event.

As for helmets ... well, standard SCCA rules require you to have a valid SA2010 helmet or newer for racing.
For Fun Ford Weekend, the regulation is set by the track, not the SCCA... An NHRA compliant helmet is required.

Ray
We can answer these questions, and Ben is right some details are not available until the AutoX details are finalized by FFW Sponsors & the track. See answers above in BLUE
