Programmer/tune questions

I was thinking about getting a Programmer or tune for my car but idk what kind of tuner would give me the most bang for my buck. And should i get a tuner or just a real tune from someone and if so where from (prices to if u can). Also what other upgrades should i look at nothing too expensive or that puts alot of wear on the car (16 years old don't have alot of money to repair it if something goes wrong)

i dont know much about tuners or tunes but what are the power differences and price for a tune.

SVT is a performance car, you're not sticking a chip in it to unlock power, tunes make it more Driveable and over well better exp. by tuners do you mean the person or the hand held decive we mostly use SCT Diablo tuner that arent made anymore don't show certain things you will want a SCT tuner. Tunes depend on what you have on your car? But Tom will have you datalog send you a base tune and if you want work on it from there.

No 2 Foci are the same so there is no way to honestly say what your gains will be , there are some that post dynos about big gains with there tunes but odds are you wont see those #

well what would be better a SCT tuner or toms tune i know that the SCT's are not to much less than a tune from Tom but what does the tune do with the car and what does it improve.
