Zetec to SVT Swap

What's up everyone?

I'm saving up to do a swap from the Zetec motor I have now to a SVT motor. I wanted to know if there is anything I should know before I even start at all. Also, is there any place you all can recommend as far as acquiring everything needed. I live around the corner from Central Florida Motorsports AKA CFM so I can get parts needed performance wise. I know I need the engine, transmission, and ECU. but is there anything else you can recommend I do before the swap or get for the swap.

Best bet is to find a rollover or write off car complete and swap everything over, then sell off what you don't use or remove from the old car.

^^ i would do exactly what 02ztsian said ive had a 2000 zx3 and bought a crashed svt and swapped everything down to the rear disc set up complete harness dash everything its well worth it cuz u pay zx3 insurance and got an svt under the hood

IMHO, not worth the trouble to do the full swap.

Engine wise the only good parts are the head and exhaust.
Brake upgrade is a given.

But $$$ wise, it's just not worth the time invested to change wiring and whatnot.


Ask the SVT swapped guys how much time and money they've spent, then compare it to the ~$1,500 with tuning that I've got into my swap (tuning was $500 by itself).
Physical swap takes a day. Fine tuning might take another day. Basically just swapping parts and extending the CHT wires.

See I've never looked that far into it just yet. I know the SVT of some what based off of the Zetec which I have in my car now. How hard would it be to find a SVT head and swap that on the Zetec? Any links or resource you may have are welcome please.
