Which Focus?

Going to start looking for a used/new to me Focus. I have had mine for a almost 9 years now bought it in 2004 I love my car and plan on keeping it but I want something with low miles. That being said I can not seem to decide on either the SVT or a 03/04 2.3l. I have done tons of research on this and just cant make up my mind lol Just wanted to get your guys opinion. thanks for any help!!

svt all day! as if there is a debate on the subject. the svt is basically ready for turbo from factory. generally they do come with lower milege as i have read around here and there, not always though. the 2.3 are ok from what i have read, not as rare as the svt and i think they look better as well (svt).

I love the interior of the SVT's and the fact that it is a 6 speed. But love the tq from the 2.3l. I work at ford so I get to drive almost every model you can think of and still have trouble deciding lol sheesh

Definitely the 2.3L first generation model. Better torque and responds to bolt-ons a lot better.

Yes, the 2.3L duratec. The ecotec's GM engines, I drove a Cobalt 4 years ago and liked it. But Ford has a better record building four cylinders, like the 2.3L Lima family, which was a a fossil by it's retirement.
But driving both. You have to get used to a muli-valve(16) four cylinder

My focus has the zetec in it with just about every bolt on you can have so it is not slow and it is fun to drive. That being said with 181,000 miles on it I want something with low miles and a hatch! So I think the 2.3l will be the winner in this (was leaning that way to begin with) now just trying to find one will be the fun part lol Thanks for the help guys!!

IMHO, If you limit yourself too much you're either not going to find another or you're going to pay more than you really should.

Right now, I know the car you should buy. It's the lowest mile 00-04 that I've ever seen for sale and it's an incredible price.
Problem for you is the distance you'd have to go to get it.

I haven't seen much else that really peaked my interest. Few lower mile cars but nothing that jumps at me.
