That's been the case for a lot of autos in the past 20 years. You can always remap shift points and pressure, the dct is a completely different design though.

Yes, there is no "valve body" per se to the DCT, just electronic solenoid actuators. Thus the need for a tuner to make any significant changes.

I would be totally okay if they released tuning for manuals before tuning for the DCT.
