Project car

Hey all,

Have another friend looking to pick up a project car, he and I were talking and I was wondering what your guys opinions would be.

His budget is around $3-4k and he's been looking at early 70s Firebirds and a few Gran Torinos. He wants a V8 muscle/pony car, something loud, decently fast, and classic. He likes the Firebirds because of the popularity of the Pontiac V8s in them, do you guys have any specific year suggestions?

Any other makes/models he should look at?

Thanks,

Slater

I have always diged the Torino I don't see them near as much as a lot of other muscle cars and they just look awesome.

I had my eye on a nice green one in Granada but my budget is a bit less than I thought so I'm just gonna mod the Focus until I find a post-graduation job

If you want a nice cruiser a Torino with a 302 will do good on gas I had a 70 conv. and a 72 both with 302's would get 18-20 mpg both had headers and cherry bombs rest all stock. The 351 windsor would do 15 mpg at best.
