Electrical Issue

Hey guys, on my way to work this morning had the weirdest thing happen. All my dashboard and Console lights went off, out of nowhere. If I turn off my lights and turn them back on, sometimes they will light, sometimes they light up and turn off right away, or sometimes nothing happens...

Not sure if it's related but my driver seat heated seat button stopped working earlier this week, the little little just flashes once when I push down on it. Passenger side works fine.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, happened on my way to work so haven't had a chance to test anything out yet.

Cheers,
Jo

As always with a ZX5 or ZX3, check the wiring harness from the car to the hatch, its at the top when opened just to the left of the third brake light. Peel back the black rubber boot and check for broken wires or ones with cracked insulation and repair if broken, or wrap each individually with electrical tape if cracked. Common fix for our cars electrical issues.

Also check all your grounds, from the battery to chassis, battery terminals and there is a total of 3 grounds behind your passenger and driver kick panels.

I guess the first simple step is check if the battery is still good.
