So I have a Zetec 2.0 with no tune, nothing done to the emissions system at all. Here goes...
Story time. I had an FSwerks 4 to 1 long tube header on my car. I cheated the downstream 02 sensor, so it didn't throw up a P0420.
I kinked the EGR tube... So of course, it threw a P0401 (EGR insufficient flow) and I don't know if it's related, but a P2195 (O2 sensor signal stuck/biased lean, bank 1, sensor 1.)
I got a new tube. Cleared the codes. Still the same two damn codes.
So, since I'm moving to Ohio soon (Cleveland area) and I need to pass the emissions testing there, I traded my beloved header for a stock converter and manifold.
Thinking that I did the right thing to fix the problem, I installed everything, torqued it all to spec, made sure it wasn't leaking.
It's still throwing the EGR code (I'm thinking I didn't get the valve all the way tight to where it mounts on the intake).
Could this also trigger the o2 sensor "biased lean" code? It's a brand new sensor.
Could it also be due to the fact that I cheated my downstream one? If so it's easy to wire it back to stock.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
