I have a 2002 ZX 3 that has been upgraded to a 2004 SVT. I have taken it to several track days and am constantly finding little things to do to up grade the car.
I use to track a 87 Civic SI. The Honda had limiting straps on the rear suspension and would carry the inside rear tire under hard cornering. The car handle great!! Now, has anybody tried this on a Focus? And if so, what were/are the results? |

Were the straps used because the spring lost all tension at full droop?

Not really. A fully unloaded tire such as one that a limiter would help is not a meaningful portion of the weight transfer equation.

I'd recommend a stiff rear anti-roll bar. It has a similar effect as limiting straps but grip is more linear and less on/off. I've used both.
