My 2002 SVT Build Thread-akinc

I bought a used 2002 SVT about a month ago.

109000 miles
Infra-red in color
tinted windows
Some sort of aftermarket intake-was there when I bought

So far have replaced upper radiator hose, thermostat, spark plugs and wires

Installed an led light strip, because interior lighting sucks:

Here is the intake that I have no idea what it is.. I know it has a K&N filter.....

If this is not the right thread please let me know........... Thanks...........

Nice clean car. That looks like the K&N typhoon series short ram intake. I have a red one and yours looks to be the same size and shape.

And everybody always asks but when was the timing belt done? If it hasn't been done then your gonna want to add that to your build pretty quick.

And last note welcome to FF. Keep up the good work with the car!

This

Also, your headlights are in need of restoration. Otherwise, clean car - how are those led's mounted? IMO I woulda just got LED's for the dome/map lights. You could get them at superbrightleds.com Here are your sizes:

Dome lights are 3610-CW4

Reading lights are BA9S-W-120-12V

nice car looks exactly like mine did when I got it

thats not a typhoon intake though that looks home made with ebay parts or something because the typhoon has a welded on metal plate for the MAF not that plastic adapter tube. should work just as well though because thats a good filter.

Thanks all...

Timing belt is on my short list of things to do asap. As I have no idea when it was done.

Yeah the headlights are in bad shape, want to replace them. Will probably restore for time being.

The led strip is mounted with really thin double sided foam tape, got a strip led from ebay for $7, I also have them mounted in my footwells of my 2005 Xterra. As far as the dome bulbs, i could buy the leds which I will, these are also throughout my Xterra, so I am not new to that. Thanks for the part numbers, pyro.

So I did some looking around and I think it's the Steeda CAI. It makes sense for the short tube and the MAF section. Not 100% sure but it looks pretty identical.
Hope that helps akinc!

That's what I was thinking too, does the Steeda one have any markings that anybody is aware of?

I'm having an issue with a blinking CEL, which is typically a misfire, but I don't lose any power nor does the engine surge or bog down or anything. Seems like the next step might be the ignition coil or the wire harness for the coil. Any suggestions?

No markings by the looks of it, but here is the link to there product.

Yours has the same color(faded) blue seals. I am not sure about your other problem. I am new to the car stuff and wouldn't be of any help with that.
