I ordered that one as well...

It doesnt support Ford SYNC or the reverse sensors if fitted.
It also looks very cheap graphically wise, No ipod album art, Steering controls were also hit and miss.

But then again the FLY Auidio unit was twice as much. Well worth it IMO though. It just looks so much more proffesional graphically and everything works.

after reading this i did a search on amazon and found at least 3 variations of the Movewell one.

The metra kit is good too, I got that as well! Lol
Idea being it was a backup plan if the fly audio didn't work.

You can by a connection kit that allows you to keep all functions of your standard factory screen and add any double din unit you like.
The metra connection kit works on US focus not sure about here in the UK.

I swung by a local car radio shop today and showed them those head units i linked from amazon. They said that since my car was not equipped with factory nav/MFT etc etc that those would not work with my car. Now i know this might have been a ploy to get me to purchase the template and radio separately from them at a higher cost. But does anyone know if these would work if since i did not get the MFT option?

I don't know the specifics of the units that you quoted, but I am 99% sure that the guys who told you that it wouldnt work with your car are either lying or unknowledgeable. The units are made to work with focuses, not just focuses of a certain trim level. Also, since they are part of a molded dash replacement trim, they will fit whichever trim level you have.

Obviously I'm biased towards doing things aftermarket, but I think you would be fine ordering these from amazon. Feel free to ask me any questions that you have and I'd love to help you out. You can check my post history for my setup.

As the post above stated the units will work with any trim level (at least here in the uk).

The plastic moulded trim fits perfect, however there does seem to be issues with the steering control functions on the cheaper units above as we'll as the user interfaces looking cheap and boring.

If you have a basic trim level or just SYNC with no MFT it's an awsome upgrade

If you have sync and MFT I can't really see it would be worth it, however we do not have MFT here in the UK so I don't know how good it is. We get a tiny little 4 inch screen which is why I upgraded to the 8 inch touch fly audio.

I never thought about it before but I wonder if the steering wheel control is dependent on which control style you have on the wheel. My se focus has the audio controls blended with the phone controls but higher models have their own pad dedicated for the audio. Might be the reason its hit or miss.
