.... I have a EGR valve problem .

P0401 CEL

Car is now bogging , but eventually does go away .

I consider myself a bit of a car guy , but mostly paint and body and not so much mechanical. So I have changed my DPFE sensor(did for the CEL but no change).
And now i am thinking my EGR valve , now correct me if i am wrong but the big round disc looking thing with a vaccum hose coming out the top under the intake hose is the egr valve?

Does anyone happen to have a EGR valve they are willing to part with very very inexpensive like?

ys that the egr valve. someone here on the site had one i will look and see if i can find post. if not there not really that exspensive. if nothing else take yours off and clean it as i did that on my 2000 model just used a small brush that i put in drill brush is long and slim like a drill bit

The P0401 code is a very generic code. Egr valves are not know to fail in our cars. You first want to check for a vacuum leak first as this is a much more likely reason for the cel. Then go from there. Other things that could cause that code are a DPFE sensor, egr solenoid, as well as the egr valve too.

Check for a vac leak first

As hard as it is to see under the breather hose is a ROund disc large and very much in charge atm , with vaccum hose on top,

Already checked for vaccum leak , and checked voltage and replaced DPFE sensor . All thats left is the EGR valve. Uness i am missing a relay or some other component thats not there . However all the EGRs i see on here are smaller in diameter than mine. is there really a difference.

best bet would be go to parts store and look at one show them the one in yellow circle see what they say also wouldnt hurt to pm the person i sent you the link that had one hes really good at knowing the parts

Yes i am working with a few people right now , thanks for the link. I just hope it solves the two problems i have been having. so i can be down to 1 problem :P
