so i did an oil change and everything about 2 weeks ago and now im seeing my car is leaving puddle like good size puddles of oil i looked under it tonight and it looks like its leaking in between the tranny and behind it could it be the tranny bolts arent tighten all the way?

and it desnt leave a trail or smoke just drips when at a light or when its done being ran and sits leaves about a dollar bill worth of oil

If it's leaking near where you say,

- the transmission bolts play no part
- it could be the 'rear main seal'
,,, to replace this you'll have to remove the transmission, clutch/flywheel; large job
- it may be oil leaking from the oil filter
,,, if the filter isn't tight or is double gasketed, oil will drip down onto the lip/flange on the windage tray, this can travel down to anywhere, maybe it's leaving near the trans because it's the lowest point


This is something that more than likely originates with the oil change IMO. Double check your work. Make sure the oil level is within range. Make sure the filter is tight and not double gasketed. Try to find exactly where the oil is coming from, not just where it's dripping from.
