Ford Service Manual

Just wondering if anyone in the forums here has a Ford Service Manual that covers the 2005-2007 Focus. If so, I'm looking for some information. Thank You.

Disconnect negative battery cable, pull the PCM (power control module) fuse from interior fuse box. Using a flat tool release the clips starting with the outer edge and work you way around. once all the clips are released it will hing up toward the windshield. then you can remove it all the way.

The "proper" way to deactivate the air bag system is with the key off pull fuse 60 (7.5amp) fuse from the central junction box. Next turn the key on and watch the airbag light, should stay solid for longer than 30 sec. Next disconnect the battery neg cable.

Next lower the glovebox. There are airbag cover retaining bolts (2) that are accessed through the opening. You may need to pull one or both of the vent tubes out of your way to get at the bolts. After the bolts are out gently pry off the cover starting at the front.

The bolts your talking about through the glove box are to actually remove the air bag. There are no bolts on the cover, it just pops off.

Thank you for the quick reply, CopperMach. Will be working it over the weekend.

Not true, there are two bolts/brackets securing that panel to a sub frame of sorts.

OK I see the manual I have is related to the 2000-2002. 2003 and up require the removal of the glove box. The others just pop off.
