Will i need an AMP for these speakers?

hello

I am replacing the stock speakers on a focus ST1. i am thinking about these two speakers:

Rockford Fosgate R165X3 Prime 6.5-Inch Full-Range 3-Way Coaxial

or

Rockford Fosgate P165 Punch 6.5-Inch 2-Way Coaxial Full-Range Speaker

my question is do i need a small amp for these speakers or will the Stock HU run them just fine.

Thanks in advance!!

That is up to you.

I haven't used deck power in 16 years

I say yes... I'm big on if you go to aftermarket speakers and don't properly amplify them then it is a waste.... You will not get the output or sound quality of aftermarket speakers with the built in amplifier of the stock or an aftermarket deck...
