Financing - when to expect 1st payment

Bought new 2013 Ford Focus on - 3/27/13 -
Financing loan doc indicates 1st payment starting - 5/11/13 -
Today is - 4/22/13 -

When should I expect to receive payment request and return coupon ?

sometime around 5/11 or after did you opt for the furthest date when doing your loan paperwork?

i got mine the week of the payment due date...

if it doesn't show up within a week of the due date id put a phone call in to their loan service department

its been a while since i've had a loan on a car but memory serves they instruct you to mail the payment in with your loan number on the check to an address in the contract...

people still mail payments in this day and age? i thought it was all EFT.

I use my checking account direct electronic payments. Work great. Ford sends me an email mentioning they got the payment within a few days of the electronic payment.
Forget mailing anything.
The only check i actually am forced to write is rent. They just do not have a method for electronic payment.
Too bad.
