George Lucas signed off on the last 3 ridiculous movies and they were garbage. I'd be surprised if Disney purposely bought this franchise thinking they could do any worse with it. I could give a shit but I don't think Disney would put money into it if they didn't think they could improve it.

I hope he now stays away from the films;he not only released a subpar 2nd trilogy he managed to mess up the originals. I'm hoping Disney may actually give the original fans what they want and that's the original trilogy with no Lucas added silliness.
I was 9 when I saw the original in '77 so I'm one of those protective fans of the original franchise.

Yeah, and I not much of a fan of GL anymore. He was one of the people that I would like to meet but not anymore. Look how much money he's made by milking the franchise with out making anything new. That and it's creepy how he stalked the current lady he's with across the country

I wonder what the new movies will be like? Are they going to take place before or after Return of the Jedi? So many questions I have now. I really was kind of hoping this was just a facebook post scam thing but apparently it's true. I just hope they don't screw it up but then again it may be even better than what ole' GL put out? We do all remember episode 1 right . Yoda looked horrible, he looked better in Empire and Jedi lol

Same here, he ruined the old ones IMO. He milked it bad, just like how he rapped Indiana Jones (Watch the South Park episode)
