in the OP's case, he will fail, because the O2 sensor will come "ready" before the evap (evap is 95% of the time the last to come ready) and cause the CEL to come on.


Either get an O2 cheater or a tune to eliminate that.

thanks everyone and thank you for the info sir, just what i was looking for

...Ive always wanted a tune, but past exp with my other cars over 100k when i get a tune and up the hp & tq a bit the clutch starts slipping :( im the second owners and got the svt with 100k, now at 114k. i searched everywhere and couldnt find out if the old owner ever changed the clutch, it does grip and hold pretty damn good for the beating i give it, but after a $500 for the tune i really dont want to spend another +$900 on a new clutch. im keeping cool because i might get rid of it soon

100K huh ... have you checked to see if they replaced the Timing Belt on the ride?

If they didn't, that could be a 1000+ fix if it fails.

As for the Clutch ... well, it depends on how bad you ride/handle your clutch when driving...

yeah, i have a tune.. added it around 100k and everything is fine..
yeah, its a steep price (relatively) but the overall drivability and everything is amazing.


as far as inspection... i go to a place near fondren and the beltway.
it costs a little extra but he has always helped me out.

Anyone knows how many miles the ecu needs to fully cycle? 40? 60?
