Your st & your brothers regular foci should interchange. You should be able to buy the whole passenger side axle w/ the saddle bearing. The brackets will work.

Thats what i assumed. Every where list the same but on the 06 the bracket that holds the bearing does not come off like on the 05 st( mine). I snagged the bracket from an 07 auto because it is like mine. But it doesnt fit an mtx car..... At my wits end with this thing guys. Any one else do an axle on an o6 if so what did u do????

In my experience, a good used salvage yard OEM axle is of higher quality than a new or reman aftermarket axle from an auto parts store.

I would highly recommend locating a good used assembly vs. parts store blecch. I just did for my 01 and got the whole thing bearing and all for $50 plus $12 shipping with 60k miles on it. Perfect.

Try www.car-part.com to locate one near you. Alternately, they pop up on eBay regularly.

You'll frequently see the intermediate shaft part on the pass. side called a jack shaft, FYI. You want the whole thing including jack shaft, not just outer axle shaft when you're searching.

I did a search using zip code 46142 as my center and there were a lot of them turned up. Several with real low miles in the $50 range give or take. Most places will ship to you FedEx no problem.
