Question Question for Euro front-fascia peoples

I recently picked up and tried to install a lower cross-hatched edm grill to match my "collections" upper grill... seemed straight forward enough, right?!

It had slipped my mind until the failed installation attempt, that our usdm models utilize the lower grill structure to hold the damn foglights in place! Has anyone installed the lower piece and retained the foggies? I hate to sell it after just picking it up, but I don't see how it's gonna attach and stay secure along with the fogs... and i ordered the one for cars with fog lights!

So how the hell am I supposed to mount this thing?! Anyone?

Yeah, you gotta cut the ends off of the USDM grille and screw them into the ends of the EDM grille, simple!

Cut along the redline and trim out the slats, then put 2-3 screw in where the blue is

Make sure the EDM grille is facing the right way, there is a top/bottom to it.

I never screwed the ends of the fogs back in. They stayed in place as is. I zip tied the center grill at the top to hold it and it has been that way since 2001.

I have ALWAYS wondered how this was done. Nice.

I think the same applies if you want to modify a lower stock SVT grill for a ZX3 as well.

I gotta load my pics and post 'em up... it wasn't too terrible, but I may redo it later to shut my OCD up.

As promised:

You'll see in a couple pics why I set the final position back a bit!

Oops! This is why!!!

I'm not overly-enthused about the thickness of the old grille's sides, so I may let that boil in me brain a bit before I take it all apart to trimm it down a bit. I don't like how visible it is... SEE?!?!

On a lift and eye-level it angers me; but on the road it's sooo low you can't see it unless it's pointed out or you get down on it! Thanks, Denizens for the tips!

Yea I never took it off the car I just let the fog lights hang. looks good but you might want to use clip-nuts and cut off the ends of the screws.
