Its the same thing that happened when Ford released the 2008 Focus. A lot of people responded that it was too ugly so in 2009 Ford updated the design with coupe styling options and got rid of that awful chrome vent. Anyone remember the over-advertised announcement of the 2009 Focus on American Idol?
Honda realized that the 2012 Civic wasn't hitting the right buttons with customers so they have made some minor changes. I think its a successful change that translates better within the current offerings of compact cars.

The civic is ok haven't seen a good design in a while. I haven't been a fan of honda design for a while actually. I will admit the 2013 accord don't look too shabby. I bank at honda and the bank is on honda of marysville property. This was parked next to me with mfg tags, when I came out a couple of weeks ago.

At least Honda is responding to criticisms. That shows hope for the company IMO. On the subject of the new Accord... I do not like the LED running lights. I'm really sick of LED running lights. Audis are a dime a dozen here in NorCal and now other car companies are aping the Audi look. The LED DRL lost its novelty quickly.

LED running lights are the best solution because they require very little power and the visibility/safety is so much improved over traditional DRL.
Get used to it.
