I done goofed

So I installed my SS lines. Besides the retaining clips being a PITA, everything went smoothly.

Then I checked the brake fluid reservoir and found it to be nearly empty. The brake pedal feel was nearly non existent, and the pressure would not build up, even after bleeding the brakes (2 man method). The pedal sinks to the floor.

My guess is that I ran the m/c dry, and my bleeding method isn't getting the air out.

Any help is appreciated, especially if I can avoid a mechanic.

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder?

just start over. bleed the master cylinder then work your way around bleeding at each corner.

I do not have ABS. I did not bleed the m/c.

I'm going to have to learn how to do this. If anyone has a well-written guide that would be helpful.

You need to start with bench bleeding the master before you mount, to do this, you install the hoses that come with it into each fitting and route them in to the reservoir and with a full reservoir , pump the master with a large screw driver till there are no more air bubbles .Then you can install it. Once you have it installed, start at the right rear wheel and go around and bleed each wheel .

Just as an FYI, it was getting to the point in the auto store that most M/C makers were not including the bleeding hoses any more as a cost saving measure. Only the most expensive had them and even then not all did. Pretty funny as one of the requirements for lifetime warranty was that you had to bleed the M/C before installing it.

My current m/c isn't faulty, I'm not sure why it's being suggested that I'm installing a new one. There's just air in there.
