Whoa, thanks for the replies everyone. I've not had the issue reoccur in the past week, but I'll definitely keep an eye out, and if it happens more frequently, I'll definitely take your advice Crystal. But for sure, I'll be checking the connections and fuses to make sure they're all seated properly.

more then likely a bad ground or, look at your battery cables and see if its melted some near the battery, feel the negitive cable or positive when its running and see if it feels warm, high resistance in your battery cables will cause this issue. im a ford senior master tech and had the same thing on my car.... the alt also went out about 2 months after i replaced the batt cables. not to fun to do

FWIW - on a PT Cruiser I drive I have had a extremely slight one-time headlight flicker since new. I eventually noticed that the flicker coincided with the coolant temp gauge reaching its usual operating position. There have been no other electrical issues with the car so I haven't been concerned.
Don't know if this would apply to a FF but the situation sounds similar. |
