Question on 2014 Wheels

My wife and I recently ordered a 2014 Silver Titanium Hatchback. When we built the car on Ford's website, I only noticed one verion of the alloy wheels, and it was called 17-inch Polished Alloy Wheels. The invoice from the dealer says 64F - 17" Alloy Wheel. I've noticed two versions of these wheels when seeing various models on the street - one seems shiny and one seems duller. I like both versions, but I'm hoping that ours comes with the duller version. Does anyone know - are all of the 2014 models coming with the duller verion of the 17" alloy wheels, or is that something that you have to order special?

The polished (shiny) version is an option on a Titanium. The dark stainless painted (duller) version comes on the SE with optional Appearance Pk.

S & SE

JSR72, thanks for the info and for taking the time to post the pictures as well. I wonder why they limit the options on the Titanium even though it's the higher trim level....seems like they would give you more options if you are paying more.

16s would be a step down so really the only one you aren't getting is the painted black and silver 17s.

I agree about the 16s. I was referring more to why they wouldn't offer all of the 17s...if you are paying for the Titanium you would think you would be able to pick whichever version you want.

Sometimes the dealer will work with you on different rims but they do that in part to keep uniqueness with certain trim levels and most come from the factory with certain wheels and aren't necessarily a dealer option. If they start switching wheels around then they end up with mismatched options that aren't represented when customers are shoppinng for a model and trim level they see on line or at another dealership.

Yeah maybe I will ask the dealer if they will swap them out if on the day I pick it up I see one on the lot with the grey wheels. If not I'm still gonna be happy with the polished ones. Thanks for your comments.

Hey you're from Chicago! haha. I've always liked the polished wheels, but I've seen a lot of the dark gray wheels around here, so at least you'll stand out.

16" painted aluminum standard SE
I got them power coating as the 16" painted machine aluminum

If you want my opinion, the 17" sport painted aluminum standard wheels are the most great looking OEM wheels for the Focus....
