Stroker Crank

Hey Tom, I'm trying to install a set of billet oil pump gears on my stroker crank, but its such a tight fit it seems the only way to get it to go on is to press it on. The factory gear goes on with lots of play. Should I grind on the billet gear to the point where it has the same amount of play as the factory gear or just enough to get it to slide on & off by hand?

I would see if C-F-M had another set of gears , if not then they only need enough to slide on
I think the gears loose (like the stock ones) is part of the harmonics that brakes them so just enough to get them on freely

What does the stroker crank put the displacement at and how is it for long term durability. Especially in upper rpm as I know some stroker kits on other engines really increase the angle of the rods movement in relation to the cylinder.

It increases the zetec from 2.0L to 2.3L

Hey Fordcus, long time no see! I have one on my crank. It fit snug.

I bought a full oil pump with gears, instead of the gears separately. If you haven't tried that way, see if he as them.

Soo sorry for the late response Rudel, lot of family members visiting this year for the holidays, anyways I also bought the oil pump with the billet gears, but Tom ported the oil pump on the stroker motor I bought from him & I switched the billet gears from the C_F_M pump housing to the ported one. I test fitted the small gear on the crank when I had it apart & the harder I pushed it on the harder it became to remove, even with oil on the metal. I'm worried when I'm ready to install the pump I might bind it up. Think I'll try polishing it a little and/or hitting it with some emory cloth next. Installing the Massive Zetec head w/installed crower stg.III cams all lashed up on that stroker motor was the most fun I'd had in years.
