Just a side note, I installed this update on my own (not trusting the dealer to, plus i dont have nav) and I got my climate controls back! woot! That was worth it just to see it work again :D

Yup...that's exactly my issue. I'm glad I'm not alone. I have some background with Windows based systems and my best guess is that the hardware id's from the device are stored on the computer and have somehow become corrupted. In my experience the fix would be to simply delete the device entries and let it be discovered again, but since Ford doesn't even remotely offer this option, short of what you had done it will never work again. If it came down to it Id rather spend $20 on a usb drive than put up with Ford's bs to get it done. Guess ill stick to my zune 120

Well I got it installed. Everything seems to be ok...

However it seems to like to default to A/V input when the car is restarted sometimes. It also has random skips when playing from my ipod.

A plus is that when it stays on ipod mode it decides to sometimes auto play more often now

Do you have the emergence assist message after stating the car

Yes I do the master rest after and befor intall

the proplem is i alwyes i doownload tsb file and install it and o don't know now why this thing happend and my ask " is any one get this message with no nav sat??"

Anyone suspect the file linked to in the TSB might be malware? I downloaded it and the computer started acting strange. The file author says "Igor Pavlov".

Disregard - seems to acting normal on another computer.
