Lol, no thanks. I'm trying to get a career in law enforcement. I need to be able to pass drug screens.

I like to stop every 2 hrs, jog around the rest stop to get the blood flowing a bit (I do not normally exercise).

Coffee and Monster energy keep you awake, but the caffeine dehydrates you which will make you tired. Drink water or gatorade or something other than just coffee and soda pop.

Smartphone is neat in towns, but doesn't work everywhere.
Thanks for the ideas guys. I'll definitely try everything listed.

All good advice so far. Audio books can also be downloaded. Bonus is the car is equipped with a usb input to the stereo.

One thing I will add. If you're not in a mad rush and you encounter things along the road that you would like to check out? By all means take the time to have a look around. Otherwise you will probably regret it later.

When I was driving from Waterloo ON, to Edmonton, AB I passed by a car museum in... either Minnesota or North Dakota, I can't remember which. It was $5 for the tour and I had to hurry along a bit but it was worth it to see the nice little collection they had. There were other things along the road that sounded interesting but I didn't have time for.

Depending on where you're going, I made the same trip back in July (to pick up my new car).
We were speeding the whole time and total we saw 6 cops. Had a radar detector which probably saved me a few times.
Interstate is definitely the way to go though. We took 69/169 most of the way down but interstate back. The way down was great scenery, Eufuala Reservoir was really cool!
But in a hurry, take 35.

Just thought y'all would like to know I made it safe and am at the airport for my flight back. Was a long, but kind of fun drive down. Took me about 20-22 hours with stops and a 4 hour sleep stop. So not too bad.

And the comedy cd's def helped.

You can make Magic Gaming Potion by mixing 4 or 5 energy drinks together, topping off with Mountain Dew and then simmering just below boiling until it turns into a syrup. Don't drink too much at once or you might have heart palpitations.
