Same - my old car was baaaaaaaddddd... if I could do it over again, I'd have at least waited and gotten a 2013 SE, ST, or the new Fusion. But after my sheisty dealership visits, I can't say for sure if I'd get any new Ford. Maybe I'd have just rebuilt an old Ford engine in like an Escort or something.

Unfortunately my grandfather has suffered a stroke, but is doing better than he was soon afterwards, but he was the reason I even bought the car in the first place, him having retired from ford and qualifying for Z plan rather than x that I might have qualified through various jobs I've had over the years. He had already personally helped to sell three cars this past year, two Foci as my younger brother also wanted one, and a 2013 Escape 1.6L EcoBoost SEL to replace my uncle's old Cruze Eco which at 44,000 miles or so started to kill either the fuel pump/ lines/ etc or the PCM and would cut out and stall. Good old GM quality. He'd only had the car about a year but drove a whole hell of a lot of miles by then. Of course my dealership experience has been terrible post sale, and even esclating things with FCS went nowhere because the regional manager only listens to the dealer's lies, not the facts from the service manual, or physical evidence that the car had not been in an accident when talking about their crappy alignment job of the headlamp on the lh side to start with as well as the tail lamp rubbing. Basically they willed me to have an accident, and unfortunately it happened, but only on the other side of the car. That's been a nightmare as well even with a different Ford dealer repairing the car. They continue to try and give it back to me with things wrong with it. First they gouged the paint on the bumper cover putting the grille in, didn't touch up the chip in the hood from the lh head lamp, there was gap and paint issues on the bumper cover, still might be where they repainted over things again or something, idk, as well as the aero shield/ felt undertray being bent on the right hand side, I've told them at least 2 or 3 times about it and each time they call to tell me the car is ready its still bent on the right hand side and I can see a gap where air will catch it and drag = worse fuel economy than before = why should I accept this? Its bad enough the insurance company is screwing me over on the repair by using reconditioned as well as aftermarket parts, (the bumper cover should be a ford part afaik, just probably off a wrecked car or something since it was cheaper). At least I'm not renting a car, but if I hadn't booked one they wouldn't have had a loaner car. |

Just do a search with the make and model of car you think is reliable and add the word sucks to it. I typed Honda Civic Sucks and you won't believe what I got back. My wife's family are all honda drivers, and they have had their fair share of transmission issues, radio, A/C failures etc. Nothing is bullet proof!

At least with the way he was driving it, and or even when I drove it, although I didn't get a chance to drive very far or fast at all it wasn't very Eco, trip computer said something like 26ish at first dropping down to 25.x later, but he's also got several antannae sticking off the back, a large ham whip antenna, possibly a cb one, etc, as well as running a radar detector et al. Well basically he's traveling a lot, especially now with needing to help take care of getting grandpa set up and safe, etc.

I love it, fanboys praising CR about a year ago when they gave Ford favourable reviews .
Fanboys calling CR a joke now when they give Ford a bad review, rightfully so.
