Back in a Focus, this time an ST!
hey all! been almost 2 years since i sold my SVTF and posted on these boards...but the high gas prices have brought me back into focus land, lol. quick back story....my work relocated me so i now have a bit of a rough commute and was having trouble affording a mortgage + gas money for a 14mpg svt cobra and a 12mpg fx4 ranger...so naturally i started looking at other options. i had no idea ford was even coming out with the ST till about 2 weeks ago (have not been keeping up on things) and i instantly was attracted to it. i stepped into the local ford dealer to see if i could check one out in person....and what did i find? the only one they had sitting on their lot was the EXACT one that i had built on the website...color, options, everything. i knew i was in trouble now, lol. problem is all i had to put down was my cobra, which i really didnt want to do...but to my surprise the dealer paid me almost as much as i was looking for it private party. they threw in the extended 100k warrenty, all maint. till 100k. and that skyjack gps thing and i said "yes". i had a few minutes alone with my cobra and wished her goodbye, it was time to move on. this new car doesnt compare in speed to the cobra whatsoever...but it makes up for almost everything else. so far im having a real blast with it

I like that color. Too bad you had to give up the cobra. This is what would happen to me if I went to look at one. If I do I think I'll walk.
