Ford Focus 2006 Trend X - Changing the front and back emblems + changing pedals

Hello,

How can I remove the front and/or back emblems from my 2006 Trend X? Do they just snap off? Behind the emblem is the hood lock so I'd rather not break the thing. The emblem should twist counter-clock wise to a certain point, and twist back.

I was looking forward to changing at least the front emblem to this:

The blue emblem doesn't fit the look of my black Focus in my opinion. If it's just a couple minutes of work to change the emblem, I'd do it. How complicated is this?

I'd also like to know how easy it is to remove the pedals and change them to something a little shinier. Do they just snap off or do I need tools?

I'm very bad with car knowledge.
