If it works like it sounds, that would be incredibly handy. Definitely could replace at least a code reader, and may be even less expensive.

I agree, I placed my order. There are some YouTube videos of the item working.

I have one of the OBD adapters that is advertised on eBay, it came with an Android app called Torque, it was less than $20.

Anyway it works great. You can read/clear codes, data log and has gauge screens that allow you to monitor info that is not normally accessable. It also has screens for performance measurements.

Yeh been wanting one of these for awhile and ordered last week. Mine should arrive Monday. I hope it fits in -and- can also put the access panel back on at the same time. Mine is bluetooth not wifi. Can't wait to have fun with it and Torque.

Here is what I bought.

Even the mini ones won't allow you to close the access door on a Mk3 Focus. You will have to pop the OBD connector out of its bracket if you want to close the door.

Now if you could wirelessly connect a scan gauge or ultra-gauge you would have something.

I cancelled the kickstarter order and bought this on amazon. Much cheaper. I hope it works well. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008U1..._M3T1_ST1_dp_1

I believe the one I got is in a group called "smallest and lowest profile available". Just plugged it in and the access door will not close and fully latch, but the door does (barely) close enough that it starts to latch, holds itself up, and does not dangle down. -on my MK1 focus.

I bought Torque Pro (5 bucks) and got my Android smart phone to connect (bluetooth) to the OBDII adapter easily using password 1234. All is good.

As you might have read elsewhere, there are many many cheapo and problematic OBDII adapters out there on amazon and ebay. I chose a cheap one too but it had several recent good user reviews. If interested, ref my amazon link above.
