i would hit anything that looks crusty with a wire wheel then POR15 it. after that undercoat it.

make sure the drain holes for the rockers arent plugged up because that seems to be the worst area for rot so far. Ive seen a few sedans/ wagons on here with rotten rockers (but no hatches oddly enough?)
