The clunking doesn't just affect the Ti models, if you'd actually read through the thread it seems that its rampant across the entire model line, but not necessarily in large numbers.

There were reported cases of this affecting everything from the base S to the SE with or without sport package and the SEL and Ti, but not every car seems to suffer this issue, and although they replace the entire front suspension components its not really certain what the absolute cause is on these cars. Is it some slight deformity in the strut tower either from over torquing, or under torquing the nuts that abusively wears out the bearing on some cars, is it undersized bearings that can't handle the loads? I'm not really sure.

thanks,, i stand corrected...

as my sel doesn't have this issue i will assume changing out springs and struts will not be an issue for this problem...

Well just because you don't have it now doesn't mean it couldn't start once you put in aftermarket parts, but in that case it would become your responsibility, but it seems that those which were not affected don't seem to have the issue stock or not afaik.

Hmmmm... so some across all trim ranges are experiencing this problem and it seem to not be related to things like springs nor struts. It'll be interesting to see, as folks change to aftermarket parts if this clunking is still evident.

I find it interesting that some , like me, don't have this problem, and others do.

Ford seems to not have any official word on this issue as yet, i take it.

makes me just wanna stay put w/ all i have and not change anything....

I have a 2013 and no clunk. My understanding is that the clunk isn't Ti exclusive, Zillon has an SE that has it. Check the clunk thread, I think it spanned all packages.
