no answer to keyless entry retrofit
i am trying to find out if anyone can tell me "what parts do i need (from a donor car) to get a keyless entry feature to work in a 2005 focus zx4 se, with power windows already there" ?? i haven't had the door panels off yet, to know what the actuators look like, but i am hoping i only need a receiver hooked to the actuator. i DON'T THINK i need the module because my car enters program mode, but the doors don't lock/unlock for the programming to occur. to me, that suggests keyless entry WAS NOT installed factory. the ford rep on this site pretty much said "because you have power locks, DOES NOT mean you have keyless entry" thanks for ANY help!!
