Since the release of the 2012+ Ford Focus, many owners have been complaining of the inadequacy of the lower engine torque mount. In an attempt to keep NVH from the engine transferred to the chassis to an absolute minimum, Ford decided to use rubber with a durometer that is way too soft for any type of performance driving. To our absolute surprise, they decided to use the exact same mount on the all new 2013 Focus ST. Unbelievable!

While researching into offering an aftermarket replacement, we stumbled upon an OEM mount with a very similar build as the factory mount but with a much stiffer bushing. The mount fit so well that it is almost as if it was the intended mount for the application but Ford decided to soften it up at the last minute. Lucky for you we have located these and are offering them at a great price. This mount is approximately 3-4 times stiffer* than the factory mount yet it doesn't transmit any noticeable vibrations into the cabin. We have tested it with great results and feel this is the ultimate replacement for any individual who races or drives their Focus aggressively.

*2-3 times stiffer than the Mazdaspeed mount

NOTE: Some contact might still occur between mount and crossmember under very hard shifting, specially on the 1st to 2nd gear shift. For heavy racing applications we recommend installing a mount with polyurethane bushings.

Thanks For the review & pics. Are those tears on the stock mount?

They used the same crappy mount that is bugging us naturally aspirated Focus owners on the ST?

Wtf Ford? Seriously?

Five bolts... Make sure you have a breaker bar or air tools for the big center bolt. Take you maybe 45mins start to finish.

Once I *finally* get my hands on my ST2 (sometime mid November, after it is built), I plan on making this an early upgrade. Thanks for the informative thread. Anyone have a walk thorugh on replacing the stock mount?

I like that this has the same look as the stock mount. Anyone who is worried about warranty being voided should note that the dealer mostly likely would never know this wasn't a stock mount.

cfmfocus2 did us a favor. but they are in the busines of making money. That is why they don't give a Ford part number to this piece. How about someone who bought one give the part number so us poor folk can get the part cheaper?

I have to second this... this is already a pretty good deal, considering: a) after market mounts are considerably more expensive. Though they may be stiffer, that will translate to more vibration and less ride comfort, and b) they tested and verified the part works. The asking price is fair. Just look at the alternative: http://www.edgeautosport.com/jbr-rear-motor-mount-focus-st-2013/ That's $125. Personally, I think this will work great. Though in retrospect, I will be checking in around the holiday sale, as that is around the time I will be picking up my ST =)

First warning... Stay on track and talk about the actual product an it's benefits/short comings... You get what you pay for and in most cases you have to pay to play, so keep it on topic or don't post...
