Just some simple instructions on how to setup mp3 playlists on a thumb drive. There may be a thread for this already but I didn't see one that was helpful to me. I searched the web and 6 different forums but the little bit I found didn't worked. Hopefully this will help others not familiar with Sync. My last Ford didn't have it. Please disregard for those that are light years ahead of me using Sync.
1. Create playlists using Microsoft Media Player.
2. Download and use SyncPlaylist software from Open View.
There is no malware and it's easy to use. Follow the prompts and transfer the playlists and mp3s over to your thumb drive.
3. Download Sync commands.
Command - Play; Playlist; [Name of Playlist]
I'm using a 16G PNY thumb drive. I'm not having problems with re-indexing or anything else I read about. Keep it simple. Unless you upgrade we're not talking about top of the line audiophile equipment here. Hope it's helpful to someone.
