03 zx3 won't run

OK I'll start from the beginning got this car (03 zx3) last year cheap, supposedly bad head gasket turned out to be broken heater line. Ran good for about a week the started bogging down and misfiring at low rpm, if I kept it above 4k it ran good . Bypassed the dpfe valve on the fire wall seemed to solve the problem. Ran good for a couple of months then one started bogging down again at low rpm. Got to where I was going and found one of the vacuum lines going the dpfe valve Unplugged, plugged it back in . And it hasn't ran since. No codes come up, checked timing belts they line up correctly, checked fuel pressure 60 psi . Swapped out coil and dpfe valve with my son's car , still nothing and his car runs fine with my parts in it. Please help. Also will a 2000 focus spi fit in an 01 escort thanks in advance

If its a manual check to make sure the clutch position switch is functioning properly. Really I have a hard time with this, when you try to start it does it at least turn over and try to start?
And an SPI should fit, not 100% sure.

Yes its manual . Yes it turns over but doesn't fire. It will turn over until the battery is dead. Is there any way to test the crank position sensor

Not that I know of. 3 things are required for ignition, air, fuel, and spark. I would guess plugs but the issue with that is if it was plugs it would still probably fire. Sense it does turn over it can't be the clutch switch. Maybe someone with a little more experience could narrow it down more.

Also it could be the fuel pump, known to get clogged or go bad on Foci.

Hard to test, but maybe you ECU isn't sending a signal to tell the coil to fire?

^^^ possible, and relates to your crank sensor question.

Checking for spark is a first step.

There is spark it almost seems like it's getting to much gas, like having to run it above 4k rpm the last time it was running. Sometimes I really hate these comp controlled cars
