Air conditioning not working

Hi everybody,

I have a 2000 Focus ZTS. I just fixed an overheating problem due to the cooling fan resistor.

The issue is that the A/C is not working. When I turn the switch on, the green light is on. But the air is not cold and I don't hear the fan starting.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance for your posts.

Best start I can provide is a link to the general "stickie" on A/C repair:

That'll give you an overview of the possibilities. Recent issue or hasn't worked for a while can affect how much work/expense is likely.

Better start with which fans are you talking about, radiator or the inside cockpit blower fan.............both needed on a/c.
Fix the driver first, then fixing the car becomes so much easier.
