DCT synchronizers = grinding?

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/dual-c...ansmission.htm

Reading that article, it states synchronizers adjust the speed of the gears to prevent grinding.

Could this be the reason why the DCT in our cars sometimes grinds, due to the synchronizing not fully taking place?

Yes, it has been said to be the way it works, been stated by many reviews, and trans people at Ford.

There is no hard evidence to suggest this and plenty of evidence to suggest otherwise.
